New to Town and Already Trivia Champs

Your usual trivia host has returned to our usual Wednesday trivia night at Wing Nutz. We had some returning teams, some new teams, and even a team new to Las Vegas itself! Team "Gooners" brought the spirit all night, cheering on other teams with roars throughout the competition. At first, they expected to win our second to last place award, a free pitcher of beer, but underestimated themselves into a second place award with a $25 dollar gift card to the restaurant...which they proceeded to use on beer anyways. Team "We're Just Guessing" held a vice grip on our first place award throughout most of the evening but ended up being overconfident with a single wrong answer in the dreaded Circuit Breaker round, where one wrong answer negates your scores for the entire round. I'm sure they'll be angry at Joel McHale for the rest of the evening at least. The real story of the evening was our winning team "3 Twos and a Chuck" that admitted they were new to the city of Las Vegas with their children, but stampeded to a first place finish with a staggering 46 points. Welcome to our Wednesday trivia night installment at HUDL Brewery with a substitute host! We had a large crowd tonight with 13 teams and 50 people total battling for our coveted prizes; however it was team "Space Monkey Mafia" that took home the gold prize of three $15 gift cards to the brewery as they scored no less than 8 points in each round! Team "The See You Next Tuesdays" came in a close second place but fell behind by one single point. Teams "Code Brown" and "Brits Abroad" battled for our second to last place prize but it came down to a nerve wracking tie breaker question about Taylor Swift's debut album, questioning how many seconds was the entire length of the album. Welcome back to another Wednesday Trivia Night installment here at Wing Nutz! Rookie teams "Groovy Swingers" and "The Smiths" both came away with prizes but it was returning team "Wing Some, Lose Some" that won the best team name award and our silver place prize of a $25 gift card to the restaurant. Team "Groovy Swingers" came away with a free pitcher of beer but also brought comic relief with answers ranging from "taking a wing break" to "that b*tch named Kathy".
