Our usual Thursday trivia night at Sean Patrick's Irish Bar has been taken over by a new host for the next two weeks, but that doesn't mean the competition is any easier. Teams "Aldi's Nuts" and "3 Sheets" were in a head to head battle for most of the night to win our coveted gold prize of $40 to the restaurant, but it was "Aldi's Nuts" that pulled away with just one more correct answer in our brutal circuit breaker round. Team "3 Sheets" needed to gamble and trust their guts just a little bit more. Our third round featured a category related to this trivia host's favorite color, pink, and asked a question related to Pokemon. Unfortunately for most teams, they needed to break out their Gameboy Colors and battle the Elite Four again because last I checked Charizard was not pink and Pinkachu is only a pipe dream. Our usual Wednesday trivia night at Wingnutz brought intrigue, competition, and a whole lot of delicious chicken wings. Our reigning champions "Jones BBQ & Foot Massage" were unfortunately a man down and came in a round late, a sizable handicap for sure, but still roared to a second place finish. New teams "Master of One" and "The Quizzard of Oz" brought energy and spunk as they competed this evening, an admirable showing for sure! However, the stars of this evening was team "Jebediah Bandersnatch" rocking a top tier desert themed shirt they took a commanding victory including a perfect music round! We had many contenders this evening though as this was our largest and rowdiest group so far with seven different teams. Repeat team "Relative Mayhem" came up just short of our gold prize throughout much of the competition, until the circuit breaker round pulled the winning team to an insurmountable lead. Teams Flats and Fab 3 brought high energy and battled for our second to last place for a free pitcher of beer, but Flats came out on top with a tie breaker question about IKEA. Even though our teams tonight had help, the other 5 rounds grilled teams as we held our collective breath during the Golden Knights game. Team "Jones BBQ and Foot Massage" came back in and swept the competition with a staggering 12 point lead over the second placed team, though team "A.I.R." did put up a valiant effort. Team Austin and Sophia were our rookies tonight but brought the spirit award with cheers and applause during the evening. We had new players and our regular players and everyone had a blast!✨Our 3rd place winners have come in 3rd for 3 weeks in a row! Isn't that ironic??
